Intervals

Join us for one of our weekly trainings with NTNUI friidrett. The Wednesday track intervals is the perfect opportunity if you want to become a faster runner or generally want to get in a better shape. 🏃 🏃♀️
Meetup at Øya stadion at 19:00, and then we will do some running drills as part of the warm up. We do recommend warming up/jogging a few minutes before the collective drills to prevent injury.
We will divide the group in sprint, middle- and long-distance.
– Sprint will start technique drills, and move on to shorter sprint repetitions
– Middle-distance will do 12-16 x 400 meters at Speed Pace, 3 minute recovery jog between each repetition
– Long-distance will do 8 x 1000m
Note that you control the training and paces yourself, and don’t have to complete all repetitions if you become tired or are new to interval training.
