Welcome Week with NTNUI Friidrett

Welcome Week is a big event at NTNUI Friidrett. It marks the start of the new academic year and is an opportunity to get to know each other in a fun way.

The Welcome Week is a week with many different events and activities, which gives you the opportunity to meet new people, learn more about NTNUI Friidrett and get to know what happens in the club.

This year’s Welcome Week will run from August 29th to September 4th.

Sunday 12:00

Although welcome week doesn’t officially begin until Monday, we’re still planning to hike in Geitfjellet this Sunday in collaboration with Aktiv Campus

Monday 18:30 Easy Jog

Meet up outside of the main building at Gløshaugen

On Monday we will have our usual Monday jog, we’ll split into groups based on pace and distance

Tuesday 18:00 BBQ and Games

Høgskoleparken

On Tuesday we will have BBQ and Games in the park. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the summer weather. We will have various games, so bring your friends and join in!

Wednesday 18:30 Intervals

Meetup outside Trondheim Spektrum

Wednesday is our intervall day at Trondheim Spektrum. We will split into three groups: sprint, middle distance and long distance. Join the group that suits you best!

Thursday 18.30 Run and Swim

Meetup outside the Main Building at Gløshaugen

Thursday we continue a tradition in the club with Run and Swim. We will jog to Korsvika. Bring a towel and your swimsuit as we will go swimming and then run back.

Friday The Student Relay Race

Saturday Trondheim Marathon

Trondheim marathon takes place on Saturday, and there will be a party to celebrate the end of welcome week—and the start of a new semester.
