Instructors

Main teacher

Leanna Rozen is a Berlin based dancer, instructor and DJ.

She spent her life dancing (from classical to contemporary styles) and with studies dedicated to the connection between body, music and movement.

In Blues Dancing this essential connection is inseparable. It creates a conversation of multiple elements of which the dancer is constructed.

Her mission is to teach people to move with their own facilities and not necessarily copy from what they see only visually.
Learning to experience the dance/music through your own body allows freedom of expression, authenticity, creativity, improvisation and your own individual style.

Taster teacher

María Ángeles, from Mexico, has been engaged with Jazz and African American dances since 2014. She has learned and taught Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz, and Tap Dance in Mexico, South Korea, and Norway. She is currently based in Oslo where she is a teacher at Bårdar Swing Club, member of Allure Tap Company, and one of the organizers of JuniJazz.

In the last two years, she has been exploring and learning from old dance clips, bringing this inspiration into her classes to honor the rich African American legacy.

Besides that, she is part of the Chaga collective, with whom she has collaborated to create the “Degrowth Cabaret,” where she uses dance as a means for environmental justice activism.
