Get-to-know-eachother party

Every autumn, a get-to-know-eachother party is organized so that new members can have the opportunity to get to know other members of the group. We are divided into teams and have various competitions.

Swimming courses

We regularly organize swimming courses. The courses are arranged based on demand and vary from basic water-floating to learning butterfly stroke for the first time. If you feel capable and want to conduct a swimming course for our members, you can do so. You will even receive compensation for your time. We usually announce new courses, but you can also contact the coach directly.

Student Games

The student games are regularly held in various sports, including swimming. All student sports clubs gather to compete and determine the best student club.

Cabin Trips

Cabin trips are a long-standing and important tradition in the swimming group. The trips are organized twice a year: one at the beginning of the spring semester and one at the beginning of the fall semester. The purpose is to get to know new and old members better and maintain the strong bond within the swimming group. The cabins we use have saunas, which are frequently used for ice baths and relaxation between activities. Additionally, we engage in hiking, skiing, wood chopping, enjoying good food, socializing, singing, and occasionally relay races and games in beautiful natural surroundings. Warm up your singing voice, bring your good spirits, and join us!

Munkholm Relay

Another old tradition in the swimming group is the Munkholm Relay. It is usually organized once per semester. Join and see if you can set a new club record!

Referee Course

Do you want to become a swimming referee? No prior swimming knowledge is required. All training will be provided during the course. NTNUI offers high-quality referee courses and currently has many referees who officiate at national and international events. Members of NTNUI Swimming have the opportunity to take the referee course for free, and those who represent NTNUI Swimming at competitions receive compensation for their time at the event.

The Nightlife of the Gods

The swimming group usually participates enthusiastically in “The Nightlife of the Gods,” an event organized for all NTNUI groups at Samfundet. You don’t want to miss it!

Swimming Competitions

NTNUI Swimming participates in several local competitions throughout the year. This is an inclusive opportunity for all swimmers in NTNUI. Stay updated on upcoming competitions by following our Spond group. As a member, you can participate in competitions all over the country. We usually notify about local competitions in the nearby area, but sometimes we also travel to larger events elsewhere in Norway. Stay tuned to our Spond group to be informed about all the competitions we take part in! Competitions are fun!

Treningsleir
