Fencing is a small sport in Norway. In order to develop some kind of proficiency in the sport and not spread the mass to thin, The Norwegian Fencing Federation decided to focus on épée. Recently sabre fencing started to emerge in some of the smaller cities, paving the way for other fencing disciplines. For now, NTNUI will focus solely on épée.
