Nytt år og nytt semester nærmer seg og det betyr at topptursesongen for alvor skal sparkes i gang! Da er det også på høy tid å friske litt opp i skredkunnsksper for å gå en trygg sesong i møte:)

Vi arrangerer i år som tidligere år, toppturhelg med skredfokus! Turen vil være fra 23.-25. januar, og vi kommer til å bo på Skytterhuset i Oppdal. Avreise er fredag kl 15 og oppmøte er utenfor hovedbygget på Gløshaugen. Det kreves ingen forkunnskaper for å bli med på turen foruten at du må kunne bruke skiutstyret ditt! Turen vil passe både for deg med en del erfaring og deg uten forkunnskaper, da vi deler inn i to ulike grupper. Det som du må ha med er topptur- og skredutstyr (Randone, telemark eller splitboard. Inkludert sender/mottaker, søkerstang, spade, feller og hjelm).

Skredfokus-opplegget vil bli delt inn i nybegynner (lørdag) og viderekommende (søndag), og må hukes av ved påmelding så tenk litt på hvilken gruppe du vil melde deg på i allerede nå! Dette blir en kul helg der du kan møte andre toppturentusiaster og samtidig friske opp skredferdighetene dine:)

Det blir åpent for 28 plasser, og prisen bli rundt kr 1220 kr per person. Dette vil dekke bo, mat (unntatt lunsj, snacks og drikke), transport og instruktør. Link til påmelding blir torsdag 8.januar kl 12:00 for komite medlemmer, og fredag 9. januar kl. 12:00 for resterende TF- medlemmer.  Så husk å vær rask, da plassene går fort! Påmeldingen er bindende. Kan du ikke delta på turen er du selv ansvarlig for å selge billetten videre. Ved videresalg er det viktig at vi får kontaktinformasjon til den som overtok plassen. Vi er avhengige av at deltakere på turen stiller med biler. Ettersom vi er 28 deltakere trenger vi 7 biler, om alle har plass til fire i bilene sine + bagasje og ski! Dersom du har lyst til å være med og har mulighet til å stille med bil, vil du kunne sikre deg en plass før påmelding. Sjåfører blir kompensert 3,5 kr/km. Det er KUN sjåfører som er akseptert av arrangørene som vil bli kompensert. Bilen din må ha plass til deg selv og tre andre personer og alt av utstyr. Biler med takboks og god plass vil bli prioritert. Skriv merke og modell i mailen. Når du stiller med bil har du et ekstra ansvar for at alle faktisk kommer seg ut på tur hver dag. Ingen biler skal forlate hytta halvtomme, og bruker man den ikke selv så må man være forberedt på å låne den bort. Sjåfør er selv ansvarlig for bilen i den forstand at utforkjøring, bulking etc. må dekkes av egen forsikring, og NTNUI er ikke erstatningsansvarlig for eventuelle skader på bil. MERK!!

Deltakelse vil deltakelse ikke gi noen form for bevis for gjennomførelse, eller kan brukes som en del av en skredutdanning. Hvis du er ute etter dette, så finnes det flere aktører i Trondheim og omegn som kan levere denne typen kurs. Likevel er det veldig flinke instruktører som har masse nyttig å lære bort:)

Dere må ha med eget skredutstyr, sender/mottaker, spade og søkestang. TF har noen få skredpakker til utleie, send mail til tf-nestleder@ntnui.no dersom det er av interesse. Vi har dessverre ikke noe annet utstyr til leie.

Egnet toppturutstyr til å gå tur med, toppturski, telemark, splitboard etc.

Alle deltakere må mestre den grunnleggende bruken av både skred- og skiutstyret. Du må ha vært på tur før og kunne ta vare på deg selv i vinterfjellet. Har du ingen erfaring med toppturer på vinteren kan nybegynnerkurs hos DNT eller et av de profesjonelle guideselskapene anbefales som inngang til denne herlige sporten.

TF har ikke ansvar for deg og du er heller ikke forsikret gjennom TF når du er på tur med oss. Egen reiseforsikring anbefales sterkt.

A new year and a new semester are approaching, which means that the ski touring season is finally about to kick off! That also means it’s high time to brush up on avalanche knowledge to ensure a safe season ahead:)

As in previous years, we are organizing a ski touring weekend with an avalanche focus! The trip will take place from January 23rd–25th, and we will be staying at Skytterhuset in Oppdal. Departure is on Friday at 3:00 PM, with meeting point outside the main building at Gløshaugen. No prior knowledge is required to join the trip, other than being able to use your ski equipment. The trip is suitable both for those with some experience and those without prior knowledge, as we will divide participants into two different groups.

What you must bring is ski touring and avalanche equipment (randonnée, telemark, or splitboard, including transceiver, probe, shovel, skins, and helmet).

The avalanche-focused program will be divided into beginner (Saturday) and intermediate/advanced (Sunday) levels, and this must be selected during registration—so start thinking now about which group you want to sign up for! This will be a great weekend where you can meet other ski touring enthusiasts while refreshing your avalanche skills!

There will be 28 spots available, and the price will be approximately NOK 1,220 per person. This covers accommodation, food (excluding lunch, snacks, and drinks), transportation, and instructors. The registration link will open on Thursday, January 8th at 12:00 PM for committee members, and on Friday, January 9th at 12:00 PM for remaining TF members. So be quick—spots fill up fast! Registration is binding. If you are unable to attend the trip, you are responsible for selling your spot to someone else. In the case of resale, it is important that we receive the contact information of the person taking over the spot. This should be sent to hennieha@ntnu.no

We depend on participants providing cars for the trip. Since there are 28 participants, we need 7 cars, assuming each car can fit four people plus luggage and skis. If you want to join the trip and are able to provide a car, you may secure a spot before general registration opens. Drivers will be compensated NOK 3.5 per kilometer. ONLY drivers approved by the organizers will be compensated. Your car must have space for yourself, three other people, and all equipment. Cars with roof boxes and plenty of space will be prioritized. Please include the make and model of your car in the email.

By providing a car, you take on extra responsibility to ensure that everyone gets out on the trip each day. No cars should leave the cabin half empty, and if you are not using your car yourself, you must be prepared to lend it to others. The driver is personally responsible for the car, meaning that any accidents, damage, etc. must be covered by your own insurance. NTNUI is not liable for any damage to vehicles. NOTE!!

Participation in this trip does not provide any form of certificate of completion, nor can it be used as part of an official avalanche education. If this is what you are looking for, there are several providers in and around Trondheim that offer such courses. That said, our instructors are very skilled and have plenty of useful knowledge to share!

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

You must bring your own avalanche equipment, e.g transmitter / receiver, shovel and search probe. TF has a few avalanche packages for rent, send an email to tf-nestleder@ntnui.no if it is of interest. We unfortunately have no other equipment for rent.

You must bring suitable equipment for ski touring e.g ski touring gear, telemark, splitboard etc.

All participants must master the basic use of both the avalanche equipment and ski equipment. You must have ski toured in the mountains before and be able to take care of yourself in winter conditions. If you have no experience with ski touring, a beginner’s course at DNT or one of the professional guide companies can be recommended as an entrance to this wonderful sport.

None of TF’s tours are guided, here you are free to plan tours yourself. As the area contains a bunch of tours, this provides great opportunities for great experiences! This places the responsibility on the individual participant, both in trip planning and decisions made in the mountains. TF is not responsible for you and you are not insured through TF when you are on a trip with us. Personal travel insurance is highly recommended.

COSTS:

Here you adapt according to the number of days on the trip

The trip will cost 1220 NOK. It includes transport, accommodation, dinner (Friday / Saturday) and breakfast (/ Saturday / Sunday). The participant has to bring their own lunch and snacks. The registration is binding. If you can not participate, you are responsible for reselling the ticket. In the case of resale, it is important that we receive contact information for the person who took over the place. Please send this to hennieha@ntnu.no.

TRANSPORTATION:

In order to get to the destination, we depend on some participants posing by car. Contact hennieha@ntnu.no.  Drivers are guaranteed a place on the trip before registration, and will be compensated NOK 3.5 / km. ONLY the drivers which are accepted by the trip organisers will be refunded. Your car must have room for yourself and three other people and all equipment. Write the brand and model in the mail. Roomy cars with a roof box will be prefered. If you are a driver, you have an extra responsibility to ensure that everyone actually gets out on a trip every day. No cars should leave the cabin half empty, and if you do not use it yourself, you must be prepared to lend it out. You are responsible for the insurance of your own car. Which means that if an accident occurs, the damages of your car will not be refunded from NTNUI.
