Join Bumerang to become part of a group that both

Join Bumerang to become part of a group that both serves a good cause and guarantees you loads of fun and new friendships!
How does it work?
As a volunteer you help out in at least 1 shift per week. During a shift, we give out equipment, receive it back, maintain our equipment and keep Bumerang tidy.
No previous experience required, you will learn everything you need to know.

Apart from the work, we organize a lot of social activities together: cabin trips, dinners, game nights, parties and much more!

We will explain everything in more detail at our info meeting on Thursday, 22. August at 6pm in Moholt Allmenning 6!
If you cannot join, you can fill out the application form (link in bio) regardless!

Bumerang is looking for new volunteers for the next semester.

-- Our Mission --
Sharing is caring! Providing free equipment lowers the barrier to physical activity in the community. Everyone has the right to experience sport and nature, but not everyone can afford it. Besides, why buy expensive equipment when you just want to try something once? We can save money and the environment by sharing instead!

-- Do what you're good at --
There are lots of jobs to be done and the sky's the limit! Do you like fixing broken equipment (maybe find a creative way to do it?), building, designing, photographing or writing? There's room for every talent, and who knows: maybe you haven't discovered yours yet?
We learn from each other, being creative together is fun!

-- Take part in legendary social activities
Come for the mission, stay for the fun! Our group has legendary hut trips and parties. Joining Bumerang means becoming part of a family and getting memories you will never forget!

Dear passionate outdoor equipment users, amateur sledders and moment capturing photographers, do you like to leave your mark in the world by leaving stickers and capturing images of your friends dramatic falls and are looking for a way to fund some new outdoor equipment?? Then look no further!
We are hosting a photocompetition to find the best uses and representation of NTNUI Bumerang throughout all the land and reward the lucky ones with a chance to buy their own equipment and therefore not to have to wait in lines in the cold anymore, with XXL vouchers of over 500 nok.

Welcome to a new semester. We are looking forward to yet another semester of renting out equipment to everyone for free. This would not be possible without an amazing crew of volunteers. So why don't you join us on our mission?
We'll explain more about it on our info meeting on Monday, 15.01. at 19:00 in our office at Moholt Allmenning 6. Come by and have a free waffle!

Bumerang will be closed from December 16th to January 10th. The opening date will be January 11th.
We will also be closed on January 16th and 17th. On all other days, pickups and returns are possible as usual between 5 and 6 pm⛷️❄️

As there is ice on the lakes around Trondheim now we want to remind you to be careful on the ice and to pay attention to the safety measures:

1) Inform yourself about the conditions beforehand (www.iskart.no).

2) Examine the ice at hand, don't take unnecessary risks.

3) Use safety equipment and don't go alone. Ice claws and rescue lines can be borrowed from Bumerang.

4) Take extra (dry) clothes with you, in a waterproof bag.

5) Bring your phone (in a waterproof bag).

The competition is based on different garden games and other equipment you can rent from us.

To all new students: welcome to Trondheim. We are excited to get started again.
So save the date, our first opening day will be Friday, 01.09.23!
Until we have enough volunteers, we will operate at reduced opening times (Monday, Thursday, Friday) which will eventually be increased to all weekdays!

Nå nærmer det seg eksamenstid, pass på reduserte åpningstidene våre i mai og juni.
Det vil dessverre ikke være mulig å låne utstyr i sommerpausen. 16. juni er dermed siste åpningsdag dette semesteret.

Due to the exam period, we have reduced opening hours in May and June.
It will unfortunately not be possible to rent equipment during the summer break. 16 June is therefore the last opening day of the semester.
