If the time runs out the fencer with the most points is declared the winner. The duel known as a bout takes place on a 2 meter wide and 17-18 meter long course known as the piste.<\/p>\n<p>For \u00e9p\u00e9e fencing, both fencers can score a point by touching each other with the tip simultaneously. Subsequently, there is no &#8220;right of way&#8221;.
