NTNUI Cheerleading was started in 2012 by Helene Drågen. The purpose of the group is to be able to do cheerleading, while being a full-time student with all that entails. In autumn 2012, we became an official selection in NTNUI and we participated in the Norwegian championship for the first time in 2014. In the spring of 2020, we finally got status as a group in NTNUI. In autumn 2021, we expanded our group and started a new competitive team for rookies. Today, the group consists of two competitive teams with around 50 members.
